Close to Antioch. Pictures taken before surgery, I hope it’s still there!
A few more shots sent to me by a fellow watcher:
About this time last year, we had some massive flooding (pre-Firefly Forest) hit Tomahawk Creek. This is the actual trail, complete with confused giant catfish. The whole family had an interesting time putting on our rain boots and carrying buckets to return this and the many other fish back to Tomahawk Creek. The fish in the picture was about a foot long!
Please pardon the Watcher, I have just returned from having hip surgery, and can currently only make it (not allowed hills yet!) to the bridge with a crutch. Normal posting will resume as I recover….or find a scooter that can manage hills! I will try to find some other older photos to post until then. Thank you!
Some very early signs popping up all over….though the weather is keeping us a bit confused.
Just a newer view
Cut down last year, look at how old this one was. And how old these woods really are. (near the Bamboo House)
Take a peek!
Well, the first I have found on the trail this year.
Sad that this has to be posted, but these signs were posted this week on two of the Hollow Tree Lane Friends for Friends of the Firefly Forest.
